Nicole Ashton is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT45884), a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model.
Nicole works exclusively with partners/spouses whose lives have been impacted by sexual addiction and intimate betrayal. She facilitates two weekly process groups that focus on trauma, shame and trigger-management among other topics. In addition, Nicole utilizes mindfulness practices, deep-breathing and relaxation techniques together with EMDR and the trauma resiliency model (TRM) to help alleviate the effects of trauma on the body and to help restore the body to balance.
Professional affiliations include membership in Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), Lesbian and Gay Psychotherapy Association (LAGPA), Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) and Women’s Association for Addiction Treatment (WAAT).
