Jenner Bishop, LMFT, CSAT-S, began her clinical work in sex addiction in 2004. After completing an 18-month internship at the Sexual Recovery Institute in Los Angeles, Ms. Bishop helped launch the Center For Healthy Sex, serving as senior staff clinician and a primary therapist for the CHS Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Her clinical mentors have been leading experts in the field of sex addiction treatment, including Rob Weiss, LCSW, Omar Minwalla, PsyD, and Alexandra Katehakis, MFT.
Ms. Bishop is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). In 2007, she received her CSAT training in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from Dr. Patrick Carnes and Dr. Stephanie Carnes.
From 2009-2010, Ms. Bishop was a member of Dr. Susan Regas’ small group training in Differentiation-Based Couples Therapy, receiving case consultation and advanced supervision. In 2006, Ms. Bishop participated in “Integrating Sex and Marital Therapy” training with Dr. David Schnarch, author of “Passionate Marriage” and “Constructing The Sexual Crucible.”
Jenner Bishop has lectured for Kaiser Permanente EAP, Cedars Sinai Addiction Professionals Roundtable, Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), Phillips Graduate Institute (Psy.D. Program). She was the keynote speaker for the Southern California convention of Sexual Compulsives Anonymous (2006).
Ms. Bishop is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and the Professional Association for Sexual Addiction Treatment (PASAT).
